The selection of famous batsman Inzamam-ul-Haq under the reign of great cricketer Imran Khan was the subject of an intriguing statement by former Pakistani off-spinner Thaqleen Mushtaq in a recent virtual interview with a cricket website. Thaqleen Mushtaq revealed that Inzamam-ul-Haq had made a name for himself in first-class cricket before joining the national squad.
Imran Khan was captain when Inzamam joined the Pakistani team, and Imran had a particular method for identifying young potential, according to Saqlain Mushtaq.

Former Pakistani off-spinner Thaqleen Mushtaq also provided a fascinating narrative on the choice of Inzamam-ul-Haq in the same online interview. Thaqleen Mushtaq disclosed that renowned cricketer Imran Khan ordered them to bounce Inzamam during a training session at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Inzamam’s aggressive batting kept the bouncers from getting past him, but he bowled with all his might. Imran Khan made a choice as soon as Saqlain Mushtaq informed him that Inzamam had been chosen for the national squad. Inzamam received the news of his selection directly from the captain himself and went on to make his debut against the West Indies.
