Lahore High Court grants bail to child pornography convict
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has suspended the sentence of an international gangster arrested on charges of child pornography and released him on bail.
I wrote an article last year on "Child Pornography in Pakistan" in which I exposed the whole network. The story was also discussed in the Parliament of Pakistan

The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) cybercrime cell arrested Saadat Amin in 2017 on a complaint from the Norwegian embassy. More than 650,000 images and videos of child pornography were also recovered from the suspect’s possession.
Judicial Magistrate Sargodha had on April 26, 2018 sentenced accused Saadat Amin to 7 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 12 lakh under the Electronic Crimes Act.
Meanwhile, in the petition filed in the Lahore High Court, the accused’s lawyer Rana Nadeem Ahmed objected that the investigation conducted by the agency was flawed as it failed to arrest or investigate the alleged foreign agent in Norway.
The lawyer argued that the money sent to Saadat Amin from abroad was not in exchange for child pornography.
The lawyer said that the petitioner was arrested after his arrest in 2017 while the High Court had not yet ruled on the central appeal against his sentence. Justice Farooq Haider suspended the sentence of the convict and granted bail in lieu of two surety bonds of Rs. 2 lakh.
