The match officials for the T20 World Cup 2022 semi-finals have been announced. After the Super 12 stage of the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia, the line-up of 4 teams for the semi-finals has been completed. New Zealand and England from Group One, while Pakistan and India from Group Two have qualified for the Super Four stage.
Now the ICC has also announced the names of the match officials for both the semi-finals. South Africa’s Marais Erasmus and Richard Illingworth will be the field umpires for the first semi-final between Pakistan and New Zealand. Richard Illingworth will be the third umpire and Michael Gough will be the fourth umpire. Marais Erasmus has come under fire for controversial decisions at the World Cup.
Brian Christopher Broad will be the match referee in the semi-final between Pakistan and New Zealand. The second semi-final of the T20 World Cup will be played between India and England, in which Kumar Dharmasena and Paul Raffle will be the on-field umpires. Chris Gaffani has been appointed as the third umpire, and Rod Tucker as the fourth umpire for the second semi-final in Adelaide. David Bone will be the match referee in the semi-final between India and England.
