Air Commodore (Retd) Abdul Basit said that when he started working as Chief Inspector of Civil Aviation, he started receiving threats. He said that he had written a letter to the Secretary of Defense that if the situation was not brought under control, there would be accidents in the near future.
Air Commodore (Retd) Abdul Basit said that no one paid attention to his letter and only 3 months later an accident took place in Kathmandu. He became obsessed with talking about these scams. He said that the wife of the general manager who made the pilots’ papers was also threatened.
