The Untold Story of Huma Wasim: Wasim Akram’s First Love

The renowned cricketer Wasim Akram and his Australian spouse Shaniera Akram are unquestionably one of the most adored pairs. Wasim Akram loves Shaniera passionately, but he still has a soft spot in his heart for his previous wife, whose memories he treasures much.

Wasim Akram recently paid a touching homage to his first wife on her passing’s 11th anniversary, using the most sincere language to do it.

Huma Mufti Akram was a highly educated lady who held master’s degrees in both psychology and English literature. She also spent some time working at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital.

Tragically, Wasim Akram’s condition suddenly deteriorated in October 2009 when he traveled from Sri Lanka to Lahore. A doctor and a nurse accompanied him on a chartered flight, but due to his critical condition, he was airlifted to India and received medical attention there for 42 days. Huma died at the early age of 42, despite the best efforts of the medical staff. Her children and the numerous people she impacted during her lifetime serve as living memorials to her.

Wasim Akram married Shaniera Akram, an Australian-born woman, in 2013. In 2014, the couple gave birth to their daughter, Aila.

After getting to know Wasim Akram, whom Shaniera had met through a familiar acquaintance, she voiced her trust in the person she had grown to admire. As a result, Shaniera ended up marrying Wasim Akram, and the two have been together ever since. Their love story is proof of fate’s sway and the charm of finding romance in unlikely places.

Famed cricketer and preacher Saeed Anwar solemnized the marriage of Shaniera and Wasim Akram in accordance with Islamic traditions and customs. The wedding took place in Lahore on August 12th, with Saeed Anwar reciting the Kalima during the ceremony.

Shaniera has also appeared with her spouse several times. She joined Wasim Akram the previous year on the occasion of Eid for a particular TV show episode where they talked about their shared lives and experiences. Shaniera has been steadfast in her love and devotion to her husband, and their union is a shining example of the virtue of intercultural partnerships.
